1. 97 off 29 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Eliminator

This is our number one because nothing else this season matched it for pressure and pure speed. It came in the Eliminator, a straight knockout match, against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His strike rate of 334.48 in a must-win game is the standout number here.He smashed five fours and 12 sixes, and his 16-ball fifty equalled Suresh Raina’s record for the fastest fifty in IPL playoff history. It also deserves a place in the wider conversation around the fastest fifties in IPL history. During the innings, his season tally also moved past Chris Gayle’s previous record of 59 sixes for the most sixes in a T20 tournament. RR posted 243/8 and bowled SRH out for 196 to win by 47 runs, sending Rajasthan into Qualifier 2. Runs in a dead rubber and runs in an Eliminator simply don’t carry the same weight, and this one carried RR forward when the season could have ended.

2. 103 off 37 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

This was his highest score of IPL 2026 and his only century of the season, made at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He reached his hundred off 36 balls, the third-fastest century in IPL history, and hit 12 sixes and five fours along the way. IPL’s official video page even titled the highlight reel “Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stuns SRH with 103 (37).” However, this was not a match-winning innings. RR finished on 228/6, and SRH chased 229 in 18.3 overs to win by five wickets. It is ranked second because the quality and record value of the century were extraordinary, but the Eliminator knock combined higher pressure with a winning impact.

3. 96 off 47 vs Gujarat Titans, Qualifier 2

Not every great innings ends in a win, and this is the clearest example. Rajasthan Royals lost this Qualifier 2 match by seven wickets, with Shubman Gill scoring 104 off 53 balls to lead GT’s 215-run chase. But Sooryavanshi’s 96 still deserves its place here. RR had slipped to 9/2 inside two overs before he led the recovery, hitting eight fours and seven sixes in his 47-ball innings. It came in RR’s final match of the season, under full playoff pressure, and showed real maturity from a 15-year-old at the business end of the tournament. We’re being upfront: this was not a match-winning innings. It’s included because of how it was played and the situation he rescued RR from, not because of the result.

4. 93 off 38 vs Lucknow Super Giants

This one is a pure chase-defining performance. Chasing 221 after Mitchell Marsh’s 96 had powered LSG to 220/5, Yashasvi Jaiswal initially led RR’s early charge before Sooryavanshi shifted into overdrive. He smashed seven fours and 10 sixes, scoring 93 off 38 balls at a strike rate of 244.74. His partnership with Dhruv Jurel took the game away from LSG, with Jurel finishing unbeaten on 53 as RR completed a seven-wicket win with five balls remaining. The victory pushed Rajasthan back into the top four and kept their playoff destiny in their own hands.

5. 78 off 26 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

This is where his 2026 season really began to announce itself. Chasing 202 at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Sooryavanshi reached his fifty in just 15 balls and finished with 78 off 26 at a strike rate of 300.00. His innings included eight fours and seven sixes. Dhruv Jurel finished unbeaten on 81 as RR completed the chase by six wickets with two overs to spare. It’s ranked fifth not because it was weak, but because everything above it either carried more knockout pressure, greater record value, or came in a more demanding match situation.

What made Vaibhav Sooryavanshi so dangerous in IPL 2026?
