Ghana international André Ayew has responded to growing speculation that he could take a leading role in the future of Ghanaian football, insisting that personal ambition is secondary to the game’s development.
The experienced forward addressed the chatter surrounding his potential involvement in football administration or leadership structures within the country.

“First of all, what the masses want is most important,” Ayew said. “I’ve heard the rumours [about people saying I should lead Ghana football], but that’s not what is important; I just want our football to grow.” He told Obi One Podcast

The veteran has earned 120 caps for the Ghana national football team, scoring 24 goals during his international career.
