MUSIC · LIVE PERFORMANCE
Miley Cyrus began a two-night run at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 16, bringing her “Bass Persuades” era to a venue she has said she has long wanted to headline. A second performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 18.
A return to headline live shows
The Hollywood Bowl dates mark a notable live appearance for Cyrus, who described the venue as a favourite place to watch music before announcing that she would perform there herself. In the announcement quoted by Variety, she reflected on having attended shows from the audience and said she was excited to take the stage in Los Angeles, a city she described as home.
The engagement is billed as “Miley: Bass Persuades – Live at the Hollywood Bowl.” The two dates were announced in early September alongside news of the album Bass Persuades, released through Atlantic Records on September 18, 2026. The shows give the new project a live setting while drawing attention to Cyrus’ current musical direction.
Why the Hollywood Bowl matters
The Hollywood Bowl is one of Los Angeles’ best-known outdoor performance venues, with a history of concerts spanning pop, rock, classical music and other genres. For an artist with a long career in film, television and recorded music, a headline engagement at the Bowl is also a chance to present a project in a distinctive local setting rather than as one stop in a conventional arena tour.
Cyrus has moved through several musical styles during her career, from country-influenced pop and rock to more recent projects. The new album and its two-night presentation give listeners a specific moment to assess how the current era translates to a live audience. The show’s significance is not just its setlist; it is also the first headline performance in years and the decision to stage the project at a venue that has personal meaning for her.
About the setlist
Variety’s original story was published as a live-updating setlist report. The information available for this Valuted News update confirms the opening night and the two-date engagement, but it does not provide a complete, independently verified song-by-song list. We are not filling that gap with guessed track names. The setlist should be updated only when songs are confirmed by the original reporting or reliable concert documentation.
What comes next

Differences between the two performances, any guest appearances and any changes to the running order should be treated as unconfirmed until reported by a reliable source.
