Norway vs England takes place on Saturday evening, for a place in the World Cup semi-finals, in a quarter-final pitting the tournament\u2019s most feared striker against the Three Lions\u2019 title ambitions.<\/p>\n

The two sides<\/a> arrived by contrasting routes. England survived a 3-2 thriller against hosts Mexico at the Azteca, holding on with ten men to progress, while Norway followed up Erling Haaland\u2019s late winner against Ivory Coast by dumping out five-time champions Brazil, the win that carried them to a first World Cup quarter-final.<\/p>\n

Haaland has been the driving force, scoring five goals in his first three appearances at the finals.<\/p>\n

There is a strong Serie A flavour to the Scandinavian squad.<\/p>\n

Alexander Sorloth, linked with Juventus this window as a possible Dusan Vlahovic replacement, supports Haaland in attack, while Sassuolo midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt provides an option on the bench.<\/p>\n

Bologna\u2019s Tobjorn Heggem starts in central defence for Norway.<\/p>\n

In the England camp, Trevoh Chalobah, the subject of Inter interest<\/a> and a rebuffed \u20ac25 million bid from Como this summer, is among the defensive contingent, as is John Stones, who starts for the Three Lions amid interest from the likes of Inter.<\/p>\n
