Roma appear to have missed out on the potential signing of Mason Greenwood from Olympique de Marseille, but reports in Italy claim that they are already beginning to shift their focus to a new alternative option in Nottingham Forest\u2019s Dan Ndoye.<\/span><\/p>\n

Could Roma turn to Ndoye after missing out on Greenwood?<\/h2>\n

For several weeks, Roma have been in negotiations over a potential deal for former Manchester United forward Greenwood, but were unable to strike an agreement with Marseille, who wanted \u20ac50m for the controversial Englishman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite reports of an agreement in principle on personal terms between Greenwood and the Giallorossi, Turkish giants <\/span>Fenerbahce have stepped in and have blown the Serie A side out of the water<\/span><\/a> with a rumoured salary offer of \u20ac8m-\u20ac10m per year.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Thursday\u2019s reports from <\/span>La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/span><\/a>, Roma will now turn their attention to former Bologna winger Ndoye, who <\/span>joined Nottingham Forest in a deal worth \u20ac40m plus bonuses<\/span><\/a> last summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ndoye struggled to cement his place as a guaranteed starter at the City Ground in 2025-26 and La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Forest are open to letting the Switzerland international go after just 12 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La Gazzetta dello Sport also claims that Forest\u2019s valuation of Ndoye has \u2018dropped\u2019 in recent weeks as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the meantime, Roma have several pieces of \u2018internal\u2019 business to tidy up, including the contracts of Paulo Dybala, Zeki Celik and Lorenzo Pellegrini. The team will then report for pre-season training on Monday and from then, the club\u2019s management are expected to \u2018step up\u2019 in their pursuit of new arrivals.<\/span><\/p>\n
