From her 2006 self-titled debut to her 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department<\/em><\/a>, Swift\u2019s music is peppered with nods to wedding bells, rings and more. The title track from her third album, Speak Now<\/em>, even follows a wedding crasher on her quest to stop her crush from \u201cmarrying the wrong girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift spoke candidly about her hopes for finding a lasting love in a 2012 Cosmopolitan<\/em> cover story. \u201cI need that unexplainable spark. \u2026 It\u2019s only happened a few times in my life, but I feel like if I was gonna be with someone forever, it would be because I saw them and I thought, \u2018Oh no,’\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n

Swift found that spark with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce<\/strong>, whom she began dating in the summer of 2023. The pair got engaged in August 2025.
