\n\tNew questions are being raised about the relationship<\/a> between Donald Trump<\/a> and Natalie Harp<\/a> after the publication of two letters addressed to the president from Harp by The Daily Beast<\/a> and Trump biographer Michael Wolff. The letters, portions of which had previously been<\/a> documented by The New York Times <\/em>reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan in their book Regime Change<\/em>, paint a picture of Harp\u2019s deep emotional devotion to Trump \u2014 and a relationship that would be highly inappropriate in practically any professional setting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first letter, a full page apology written to the president after the 35 year old \u2014 in her own words \u2014 was an \u201cembarrassment\u201d to Trump during a trip to a golf course in Scotland. The letters were first reported by the Times <\/em>as having been found in Trump\u2019s \u201cprivate\u201d spaces, alarming the Secret Service and raising eyebrows among staff.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want things to always be right between us. I also know I\u2019ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time). I haven\u2019t been myself, dwelling on the Past,\u201d Harp wrote, mimicking some of the bizarre punctuation quirks she uses in the Truth Social posts she transcribes for the president.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI see myself being lowered in your eyes and good opinion. That is the fear you see, because I never want to bring you anything but joy. I\u2019m sorry I lost my focus. You are all that matters to me. I don\u2019t want to ever let you down,\u201d she added, describing Trump as her \u201cGuardian and Protector in this Life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast published letters that Trump\u2019s 35-year-old aide Natalie Harp allegedly wrote to him <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a second letter, seemingly written around the same trip, Harp profusely thanked the president for bringing her along. \u201cFor the first time, in I don\u2019t know how long, you forced me to \u2018unplug,\u2019\u201d she wrote, noting that she didn\u2019t feel like the \u201cHuman Printer\u201d \u2014 a perhaps pejorative name given to her by other White House staff \u2014 while on the golf course, and enjoy some free time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI had no idea how rapidly I was approaching burnout, and starting to envy those whose only \u2018job\u2019 seems to be to talk with you, and look pretty. I want that job!! We shouldn\u2019t have to talk about work all the time,\u201d Harp wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tShe concluded with a decision to better herself in order to make Trump \u201cproud,\u201d begging him to please tell her if he ever felt she was failing him. \u201cYou have the absolute right to cuss me out, if need be, when I deserve it, because no one knows or cares about me more.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHarp, a former One America News host, has been working for the president since 2024. According to reporting by The New York Times <\/em>she is a near constant presence in Trump\u2019s meetings and day to day activities. Her roles include stenographer, social media manager, gatekeeper, bag woman, and seemingly close personal companion to the president.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump and members of the White House communications staff unloaded on CNN reporter Kristen Holmes and Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) after the Georgia senator joked about Harp\u2019s relationship to Trump during a campaign event. The blowup came after reporting from The Washington Post<\/em><\/a>\u00a0 that Harp was among a select few staffers who were secretly shuffled off of Air Force One in a catering cart, and into another plane, in order to escape a security threat while on a trip to Turkey. Several high level administration officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, were left behind on the threatened aircraft.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s long been said that Trump prizes devotion above all else in his inner circle. According to Haberman and Swan, he once said to staff that while \u201call of you will go off and make money,\u201d Harp, will \u201cnever leave me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHarp won\u2019t just stay, she will quite literally give chase. On Friday, The Mirror <\/em>obtained images<\/a> of Harp running behind Trump\u2019s caravan of golf carts while on his trip to Scotland. While she later apologized to the president, the incident is emblematic of the type of humiliation rituals the president loves to subject his underlings to. Harp, among the many in the administration, may be alone in the sincerity of her gratitude.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
