Iran has rejected as \u201cunfounded\u201d the United Arab Emirates\u2019 accusation that it launched two missiles at the Gulf kingdom a day earlier, Iranian state media reported.<\/p>\n

Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei rejected the claim, warning regional states against making \u201cunfounded accusations\u201d and warning they should be vigilant against \u201cfalse-flag operations,\u201d according to Press TV.<\/p>\n

Air defense forces in the UAE detected two ballistic missiles launched toward the country from Iran on Tuesday, the UAE Defense Ministry said, adding that only one fell inside its territorial waters.<\/p>\n

The statement did not mention casualties, damage or interception efforts.<\/p>\n

Separately, Iraq\u2019s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday accused Iran of launching drone attacks targeting his office and the residence of the head of the Kurdish intelligence agency Parastin. Tehran similarly denied the allegation and suggested the incident may have been a \u201cfalse flag\u201d operation.<\/p>\n
