{"id":2247,"date":"2026-08-14T14:46:01","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:46:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valutednews.com\/?p=2247"},"modified":"2026-08-14T14:46:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:46:01","slug":"selena-gomez-in-deep-legal-trouble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/valutednews.com\/?p=2247","title":{"rendered":"Selena Gomez in deep legal trouble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>Singer and actor Selena Gomez was sued on Thursday by investors who \u200bsay the \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d star committed \u200cfraud by failing to fulfill duties to build and promote her mental health start-up.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs invested nearly $1.2 million in \u200bWondermind Global, which was launched in 2021 to \u200bhelp users strengthen their \u201cmental fitness,\u201d according to the \u2060lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.<\/p>\n<p>Investors said \u200bthey were told Gomez, one of the biggest celebrities \u200bon social media with more than 500 million followers, would be actively involved in building the company as head of marketing. \u200bThey argue that Gomez and other company leaders \u200bfailed to deliver on promises including creating a mobile app.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGomez purported \u200cto \u2060sign a contract obligating her to perform and then ignored it,\u201d the lawsuit said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no legitimate enterprise in the works, much less a lucrative one,\u201d \u200bthe plaintiffs added, \u200bsaying that \u2060the company failed to meet \u201ceven its most basic obligations, such as timely paying \u200bits employees and vendors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A representative for Gomez \u200bdid not \u2060immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit argues that the plaintiffs were unaware of the company\u2019s troubles \u2060until \u200ban online news story detailed \u200bthem in September 2025.
