Another Lebanese official and two foreign diplomats have previously told Reuters that Israel and the United States had vetoed France.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list was produced during meetings between Lebanon and Israel at the US embassy in Rome this week, the latest round of \u200ctalks on how \u200cto implement a June 26 deal that links Israel\u2019s progressive withdrawal of \u200ctroops \u2060from Lebanon to \u2060the disarmament of Hezbollah, which would be \u201cverified\u201d by a third party.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hezbollah is not a party to the agreement and has refused to give up its arsenal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have reached a short list of countries.
