As per Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, Arsenal are set to make a new offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.<\/p>\n

The journalist claims that the Premier League champions are set for further club-to-club talks with the Magpies in the coming days, as they aim to agree a deal for the midfielder.<\/p>\n

Guimaraes joined Newcastle from French side Lyon in 2022 and has since made a total of 195 appearances for the North East giants in all competitions, scoring 31 goals and providing 32 assists.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian\u2019s impressive displays for Eddie Howe\u2019s side last term earned him a place in Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s Brazil squad for the World Cup in North America, and he started all five of their matches at the tournament.<\/p>\n

Romano claims that personal terms have already been agreed between Arsenal and Guimaraes, with the Gunners now set to increase their initial offer of \u00a370 million.<\/p>\n

Despite Arsenal\u2019s serious interest in the player, it is claimed that the likelihood of a deal will depend on whether or not Newcastle are willing to sell the player, and at what price.<\/p>\n

Guimaraes\u2019 current contract at St. James\u2019 Park is set to run until the end of the 2027\/28 campaign, but this summer\u2019s transfer window could represent Newcastle\u2019s final opportunity to cash in on the player for a significant price.<\/p>\n
